My troubled cousin, who's had a few run ins with the law, just got busted bringing 350 kilos of weed across the border. He's got a great heart, but is really a clueless sob. He's a couple years younger than me and was already on parole, so he'll probably be going to jail for a while. It really makes me sick to my stomach. He'll need a lot of prayer.

So, I was reading this article in the paper today about celebrities doing ads in japan...here's Arnold
last night/this morning amanda's grandma had what we are guessing is a stroke. she is in the hospital right now, and they are running some tests. we're waiting back for the results of an MRI right now to figure out what actually happened. the people at the first hospital weren't very good at doing their jobs. at one point the doctor came into the room and actually had to ask amanda's dad if a CT scan had been done already. he said "how am I supposed to know, aren't you the doctor?". they have since moved her to a different hospital.
Believe it or not, North Koreans are offended by Team America: World Police's potrayal of Kim Jong Il.
Hey everyobdy! Check out the hit new band Soleil Moon. They may or not have gotten their name from the star of the hit tv show Punky Brewster, but that sure as hell doesn't stop them from rocking the house. Or should I say yacht.
I've got a Velvet Underground and Nico without it's case. I took it from the Bayou when I moved out (it'd been sitting on the CD player for months). I've got mine in my case, so if anyone's missing it, drop me a note.

A wonderful time had this evening past with our dear Andy. Hats off to him, his preparation, his excitement and his passion for his new life, bride and adventure. And cheers to all of us that are approaching the anniversary mark. We kick some major fucking ass. Especially the sun bear.
I haven't posted in a while, so before I pass out for the evening I thought a few ramblings could be good. This last week has been really weird, not in a bad way...i guess kind of unexplainable. It's the week before I get married and I find myself spacing out more than usual. It's such a monumentally huge life step that I feel I can't really contain it, so I wake up in a daze and go through my daily tasks with this knowledge that everything will be different a week from now- it's a hard thing to wrap my mind around, yet I'm so excited for everything, the known and undiscovered. It's been amazing to see relationships turn to marriages and continue to flourish. Thank you Drew and Amanda, Jayson and Jen, Matt and Lisa, Jesse and Robyn, Matt and Amanda, and Keith and Karen for your great example- I've learned a lot from you. I'm really looking forward to Saturday, there's really no formal plan for anything but I think that will make it pretty relaxing. I want everyone just to hang out and have fun. That's about it. The Dodgers got swept by the Rockies and I've lost all hope.
BBQ, Monday the 5th at 4:00 pm at Laurie's place
For anyone interested, Xio and I will be making our way to Catalina Island for the day on Saturday. If anyone wants to join, the Catalina Explorer out of Long Beach is the cheapest way and they still had spots on the boat. This link will take you to their page: http://www.catalinaexplorerco.com/catalina-ferry.php
