first i have to say i was very disappointed not to receive any real recomendations from any of you on what songs to sing at Emily's birthday karaoke party.
secondly, it was awesome. in this old alley ale house they've got the party going on and inside are the mcgraws, rose and tim and the funky bunch. highlights include someone's high octane performance of born to be wild, a rather embarrrasing peformance of baby got back by four drunk girls and more more more. i'm sorry to say i arrived too late and missed emily's rendition of superstar by the carpenter's, but i did get to see, to my overwelming enjoyment, a didactic performance of someone saved my life tonight by emily, more than a performance, a presentation of all that is good with the world through song.
the question has come up whether tom petty's free fallin is a good karaoke song, or simply a good song, or neither. please comment

I say both, but then again, I like cameran crowe movies.
sounds like a fun night... i don't think free fallin is a good kaeroke song, but i do think it is a good song. well maybe not a good song, but i enjoy it.
I hereby declare "Free Fallin'" a good song. And a good carry-okie song. Like a fine wine it only gets better with... more wine.
