Camping Fun!!

Camping info:

Site changed to Leo Carillo State Park. Malibu Creek didn't allow fires and was a long way from the beach, it did look cool though, but we'd be freezing our asses off at night.

Cost: $10 per person

We've got two sites and one car is aloud on each. Extra cars will probably be charged $10, so car pool or pay.

Bring a board, bring your hiking shoes, bring a pipe, and a good sturdy firm rod.

For those who will be fishing, I figure we can stop at a place along the coast for a one day license. Check in is 2:00 pm Friday.

Malibu Murderer Still at Large

The October 31 rape-murder of a religious pilgrim still under investigation

By Gary T. Cubota

MALIBU, California Ā» Dressed almost always in white, Myrna Spiegel traveled on religious adventures to dozens of countries from Central America to the Middle East, despite obstacles and dangers.

Myrna Siegel was a well-educated child of the '60s who converted to Christianity and traveled to biblical sites before settling in Southern California.

"If she wasn't supposed to go somewhere, that's where she went," said her daughter, Aurora Spiegel, who traveled with her as a child.

Aurora Spiegel said the irony is that her mother, known as "Sky Blue," was killed in the low-crime area of Malibu.

On the morning of November 2, the body of 51-year-old Myrna Spiegel was found by two fishermen in a beach gully at Leo Carrillo State Park in Malibu.

Sheets of gospel music she composed were found near the body.

Police detectives said she had been brutally raped and beaten.

The death of Spiegel, who was homeless and camping in a nearby field, did not attract much news media attention, and the investigation hit a dead end.

I say all cars split the extra car charges. Considering the various locations and times of departures, carpooling could be hard. or... i call dibs on one of the free spots.
