administrative action
due to a highly offensive post from jesse gloyd and darren harbough, a previous post has been removed from the virtual porch. those of you who saw the post, stating that darren had died from hitherto-unknown injuries related to a car accident, will be glad to know that darren is apperently alive and well... though stupid.
i want to take this opportunity to let both of you, jesse and darren, as well as the general readers know that i am sorely dissapointed that something like this has actually transpired. it's unconscionable that you would deliberatly set out to decieve your friends that love you into believing that darren had passed away. frankly i am greatly angered and saddened at your behaviour. in light of the tremendous struggles that those of us in our groupd of friends have gone through in the last two years, and are even experiencing currently, this act is unforgivable outside of our christian values. i don't even want to give either of you two jerks the satisfaction of knowing what those of us here in southern california went through for a brief time while trying to figure out what was actually going on. you will be lucky the next time that i see you if i dont break your faces.
effective immediately in light of this situation, i am hereby removing both of you (jesse and darren) from the ability to post on the virtual porch for a time to be determined by the community once you have returned.

darren had nothing to do with it. i started this blog. you can not take me off something that is mine. it was a joke meant to be in the vein of paul mccartney circa abbey road. someone should have called to verify if they were really upset. it was just a silly post. you people need to chill out a bit. it's a freaking blog. no harm, no foul.
for those of you who seem to have forgotten my phone number, it is-- 562-652-3644. i feel that i have been villified beyond reason. darren did not know, or endorse. robyn, sycz, bush, and alan have all called me since my arrival. my cell works fine.

i didn't get your joke. as a person who knows and loves both of you, and as a survivor of recent familial death, i was scared shitless because of what you posted. you know that i am the first person to laugh at most of your jokes. The reason, that I, and i'm not alone, were so freaked out by this is that it's possible. We don't know anything about what happened with the car accident, so it very well could have actually happened and darren could have actually died based on what information we had.
There are other issues too. what would have happened had darrens mom read the post? i'm sure she would have had a shocked reaction, even greater in emotional anguish than those of us here in the bayou family.
As for your cell phone working, the first person that i called was sycz, who called up to you guys and figured out it was bullshit. He called me to let me know. I'm letting you know here, the way that you informed us, that im dissapointed.
What I would want from you is an apology. what you did was stupid. the fear and sorrow that it caused me, and others was not worth the joke. there are lots of other ways to play games with and trick the community. including the part about "pray for his family" was also sooo wrong on faith grounds that i am not even going to admonish you for it. you know its wrong to prey on peoples faith and love like that. say you're sorry. that's what i am asking. then you will be welcomed back to the porch just as before.
