1) who the fuck changed the name of the porch?

2) for those of you who would like to see an art opening tonight, alison owen (best known in her role of baby mac's mom) is having her graduate show tonight in claremont. it's at the same gallery as the one amanda had her show at. it starts at seven and includes free food, free drinks, and very good art. if you are coming from whittier/long beach, take the 605N to the 210E, exit on Towne, go right, make a left on Foothill, right on Dartmouth, and a left on 10th. park on the street. you will see the party.

3) i saw the life aquatic. i believe i heard a rumor that mr. bethanmacourt had said it was w. andersen's worst movie. i agree. the movie itself wasn't all that bad (a visual treat!) but it was no rushmore, and not even close to the tennenbaums.

4) whoever changed the name of the porch, change it back, or we will have an intervention on your ass come bible study time.

First off- please don't use such filthy language. Moms and grandmas read this site. Second, I enjoyed Aquatic best and feel Rushmore to be his worst. I go Aquatic, Bottle Rocket, Tennenbaums, Rushmore.

First off, I apologize for my filthy, filthy language. The porch is an institution I hold very dear to my heart and when I saw it desecrated, I don't know, I guess I just sort of lost it. I especially apologize to you Jesse, because I know language like that really offends you, and I would never want you to stumble. I know that when you hear (or see) words like that, it makes your spirit weep, and you tremble. I don't want to be the guy that makes you tremble. I don't want to be that guy.

I think the W.A. order is as follows: Tennenbaums, Rushmore, Bottle Rocket, Aquatic, Taxi Driver, Popeye. I recognize that I seem to be in the minority on this. Most people that I have talked to think Aquatic is the best. I thought the plot was scattered and I didn't really care about any of the characters. It seemed like a visual overload at the cost of a tight story, which he is usually brilliant at. I may be wrong. I probably am. But I don't want to be the guy who shoves his opinions and lists down other people's collective throats. I don't want to be that guy.

Andrew, I totally agree with you. That guy Jesse is always shoving his lists and opinions and general taste down my throat. And you know what? I'm sick of it! The Life Aquatic sucked! There is no reason to be ashamed! It's high time you guys stood up to the tyranny of the Gloyd, with his "fancy pants" and his "old-timey music" and his "swelling." I am with you a hundred percent! No shame!

Sincerely,

Anonymous

I've only known Jesse briefly, but I do agree that his vulgar personality is a major flaw. I won't go much into attacking his comments on the movie, but I will go into attacking him as a person. Jesse is a fraud and a failure whose opinions hold no merit. I believe him to be pretentious man who is unable to engage in mature conversation. I hope you change Jesse. I hope you grow up

Thank you Anonymous, thank you so much. Because of your courage and pluck, I feel like I can finally call the Gloyd's bluff and expose him for the phony phony cheapskate he is. The curtain is lifted. There is no wizard.

Yeah man, no problem. I've known this Gloyd cat for a while now, and you can't trust him. He's sneaky and he's wrong. Fool's favorite movie is Mary Poppins! Now that's just f'd up.

Jesse is a known anti-semite. I've heard from multiple sources that he also engages in disgusting displays of Al Jolson covers.
